Zitron Nederland is going to build a new facility.
In 2009, 7 years after our foundation, we moved to our premises at Droogdokstraat 6 in Hengelo.
Due to our success in the European tunnel ventilation market, this building soon became too small. In 2014, Zitron Nederland bought the neighbouring building at Havenkade 6 and installed a 2 x 10t crane there.
Success and the need for additional square metres continued to grow, so Zitron Nederland had to rent additional space next to these buildings.
At the end of 2022, Zitron Nederland bought a plot of land of almost 6000 m² at Kanaalstraat 19 in Hengelo. Kanaalstraat 19 is only a stone’s throw away from our current premises. A workshop of approximately 2500 m² and an office building with 3 floors of a total of 750 m² will be realised here.
Construction will start at the end of 2023, the workshop is expected to be ready at the end of 2024, and the offices will follow in 2025.
Our new building will be even better equipped to build and test large axial fans for tunnel smoke extraction, fans for pressurising tunnel escape corridors and jet fans for longitudinal tunnel ventilation.
